Where it all started... My Grandfather raised foxhounds, people came from miles away just to get one of his dogs. He showed me Love, Compassion, Responsibility and Patience when raising and caring for animals. Im so thankful for this love that was to shown to me at such a early age.
Welcome to our page!
We are a small hobby breeder located in Middle Tennessee, and have been lovingly raising puppies and mini-pigs for the past 10 + years.
Polkadot farm has been the best thing we could've done for our family! Our farm is our "family" farm thanks to my grandfather who was a dairy farmer on this land most of his life, and the best man I knew (who died at 96, still reading a newspaper without glasses and bush hogging). He instilled the love of farming and animals in our lives. My husband and I have been together since we were 12 years old, and married since 1995. Needless to say, he's my best friend. We have two awesome boys, the oldest is helping run our family business in our own hometown and the younger one is following his dream becoming a farmer.
We are a family of four, trying to teach our children work ethics and responsibility, and on our farm there are a lot of both of these. On our farm we have many animals including Registered Brittish White Park cows, a Scottish Highlander Cow, llamas, miniature cows, miniature goats, miniature pigs, muscovy ducks, beautiful chickens & Registered Mancoon Cats. My husband and I, and our two boys, love our farm and our critters. Raising animals and working on a farm isn't easy work, but its good work, hard work, long hours and work that makes you feel proud when your day is done.
We feel lucky to have this opportunity to be able to raise such precious babies and then see them go to homes to be able to bless families with their sweet nature and cheerful dispositions, as they have done ours from the beginning. ***Our puppies are born and raised in our home so we can have eyes, ears & hands on them as needed. My husband and I, along with our children, their girlfriends and their friends are playing and socializing with the babies constantly -- this has to be why our babies are so happy and sweet. Needless to say they are "rotten" by the time they leave us.
We also start on potty training around four weeks old so by the time they go to their new homes, they have it down pretty good. All the puppies we raise are " hypo-allergenic" (meaning low to non-shedding) which makes great pets for allergy suffers.
Please let me know if I can help you or answer any questions. I hope you enjoy and love our babies as much as we do. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us thru the contact page.
Thank you,
Tammy
