The Tiny Foundation

Toy Poodles

Small in size, mighty in heart — the secret behind our Minis.

The Story of the Breed

A breed worth knowing

The Toy Poodle carries all the history of its Standard cousin — the German water-dog origins, the refinement in the French courts — bred down over centuries into a companion sized for laps and city life. By the eighteenth century, tiny Poodles were the treasured companions of European nobility; today they remain one of the world's most beloved small breeds.

Don't let the size fool you: the Toy Poodle keeps the full Poodle intellect. They are ranked among the smartest breeds of any size — quick to learn, delightfully clever, and famously long-lived, with many reaching sixteen years and beyond.

At Pigs N Poodles, our tiny CKC and AKC registered Toy Poodles — Molly and Romeo — are the secret behind our smallest, softest Mini Bernedoodles.

The Best of the Breed

Living With Them

Temperament & family life

A Devoted Shadow

Toy Poodles bond intensely with their people — happiest in a lap, a tote bag, or trotting proudly at your heel.

Big Brain, Tiny Body

They learn tricks, routines, and even words with startling speed, and love showing off every bit of it.

Remarkably Long-Lived

With fourteen to eighteen year lifespans, a Toy Poodle is one of the longest companionships the dog world offers.

A few minutes of brushing every other day, grooming every four to six weeks, and indoor play with short walks — the Toy Poodle may be the easiest luxury there is.
